Le radici dell'azienda risalgono al 1889, quando dei fratelli intraprendenti, William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John e Andrew, nella famiglia Case iniziarono a vendere coltelli artigianali dal retro di un furgone nella parte settentrionale dello stato di New York.
