Obwohl wir im Laufe der Jahre viele Böker-Produkte gesehen haben, finden findige Messermacher immer wieder Wege, uns zu überraschen. Zum Beispiel Brad Zinker aus Florida mit seinem Urban Trapper, einem der dünnsten Titan-Framelocks, die wir je erlebt haben. Mit nur 8mm Griffstärke (ohne Clip) beschreibt der Begriff „schlank“ den Urban Trapper für seine nutzbare Größe nur unzureichend.

Die großen Löcher und das Titan verwandeln den Urban Trapper in ein echtes Federgewicht von nur 48 g, das sich sowohl in der Anzugtasche als auch in einer leichten Sommerhose äußerst bequem tragen lässt. Angesichts des insgesamt minimalistischen Designs des Messers ist die Größe des Flippers ebenso zurückhaltend.

Im Einsatz überzeugt es dennoch durch seine herausragende Funktionalität und öffnet die Klinge auf VG-10-Kugellagern zuverlässig. Die Klingenform dieses klassischen Trapper-Taschenmessers, das in den Vereinigten Staaten weit verbreitet ist und viele Jahre lang von Brad Zinker getragen wurde, war die Inspiration für dieses ungewöhnliche Stück.
