Das lang erwartete Military 2 hat das Design des bewährten Military-Modells mit einer Reihe bedeutender Verbesserungen weiterentwickelt, darunter der für Spyderco typische Compression Lock-Mechanismus, übergroße Edelstahl-Folder und ein vollständig konfigurierbarer Taschenclip mit vier Positionen. Die Klinge ist aus CPM S110V gefertigt, einem hochmodernen partikelmetallurgischen Stahl, der mit einem hohen Anteil an Vanadium und Niob angereichert ist und eine außergewöhnliche Verschleißfestigkeit, Schnitthaltigkeit und Korrosionsbeständigkeit aufweist.

Wie alle Mitglieder der CPM S110V-Familie sind die G-10-Griffschalen mit Peel-Ply-Konstruktion in einem unverwechselbaren Dunkelblau gehalten.
