Bayerisches Kleidermesser oder bayerisches Picknickmesser sind die gebräuchlichen englischen Begriffe für den speziellen Typ des Messers mit fester Klinge, der in Deutschland Trachtenmesser genannt wird. Diese Messer befinden sich in der rechten Seitentasche einer traditionellen bayerischen Lederhose und nur ein Teil des Griffs ist sichtbar, wenn Sie diese Tasche passieren.

Bayerische Kleidermesser zeichnen sich durch die besondere Form der Klinge und meist durch einen verzierten Ring aus. Diese Zwinge bildet den Durchgang zwischen der Klinge und dem Griff des Hirschhorns oder anderer Jagdtrophäen, der mit dem Zapfen befestigt ist. Zu Schutzzwecken wird eine dunkelbraune Lederscheide über die Klinge geschoben.
