Es hemmt das mikrobielle Wachstum bereits in den ersten Minuten und erreicht innerhalb von 24 Stunden eine fast vollständige Hemmung. Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums von SOG im Jahr 2006 wurde eine Neuauflage des originalen SOG Bowie, eines der legendären Messer des Unternehmens, auf den Markt gebracht. Dieses Messer mit seiner großen Klinge besticht durch seine präzise und ästhetisch korrekte Konstruktion aus den 1980er Jahren. Im Gegensatz zum Original sind alle Teile durch eine schwarze TiNi-Beschichtung geschützt, um dem Messer ein aggressiveres Aussehen und eine bessere Leistung zu verleihen.
