Geschichte des Modells
Das Modell 7 wurde als verkleinerte Version des Modells 3 Hunter entwickelt.

Fast sofort kam Bo Randall auf die Idee, eine verkleinerte Version des neuen Hunter als ideales Messer für seine Angelkollegen zu entwickeln. Als leidenschaftlicher Angler seit seiner Jugend betrachtete Bo dieses neue Messer als Liebesdienst und machte sich sofort an die Arbeit an dem Projekt. Zunächst probierte er 4- und 4,5-Zoll-Klingen aus, entschied sich dann aber für das 4 1/2-Zoll-Messer. Bo wollte den richtigen Griff für das Putzen von Bachforellen und ähnlich großen Fischen, also verkleinerte er den Griff des neuen Hunter und veränderte seine Form. Natürlich nannte er dieses Modell "Fisherman", und einige frühe Prototypen mit einer 4-Zoll-Klinge wurden in der zweiten Septemberhälfte 1945 an einige Händler ausgeliefert.
